This apple is something special. The pale pink blossom is fragrant and relatively frost hardy. The fruits develop a gorgeous glowing deep red skin. The aromatic flesh is sweet and crisp but not too sugary. This is a wonderful dessert to eat fresh from the tree and with the benefit of having thin skin, loved by children. A recent introduction, this apple tree has been carefully bred for UK gardens. Frost hardy and disease resistant,especially to scab, ‘Scrumptious’ has been awarded the Award of Garden Merit given by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), which helps gardeners make informed choices about plants.
