Egremont Russet apple tree is a reliable, regular cropper with medium sized, yellow-green fruits flushed with characteristic russet overlay. The fruits have a sweet, nutty flavour, and firm, juicy flesh. The apples are ready for harvesting in October and have very good keeping qualities. They are perfect for eating raw from hand or as an addition to desserts or cheese selection. ‘Egremont Russet’ has been awarded the Award of Garden Merit given by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), which helps gardeners make informed choices about plants.
